GOLDIE SMITH

   Goldie B. Smith, daughter of the late Berry F. and Laura Bargar Mays
was born on July 5, 1908 in Grenada, Texas and departed this life on
January 28, 1993 at the Villa Marie nursing facility in Jefferson City,
Missouri having attained the age of 84 years, 6 months and 23 days.
   Goldie lived in Jefferson City, Missouri and was a member of the
Memorial Baptist Church.  She formerly lived in the Leasburg and
Bourbon area.
   On December 28, 1928 she was united in marriage to Earl S. Smith
who preceded her in death on August 28, 1981.
   Surviving her are a son, Robert Smith and wife, Marialyce of
Jefferson City, Missouri, a grandson, Ronald Smith and wife, Kellee,
other relatives and many friends.
   Graveside services and interment was held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday,
January 30, 1993 at the Lea Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri with Pastor
Wexford Parmer officiating.
   Arrangements were under the direction of Hassebroek’s Bourbon Chapel,
Bourbon, Missouri.
