Isla Maxine Boehm (nee Souders), daughter of the late Jacob and Rosa Benson Souders was born on December 10, 1918 in Oak Hill, Missouri and departed this life on March 28, 1994 in Lemay, Missouri, having attained the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 18 days. Maxine, as she was known to her family and friends was raised in the Oak Hill, Missouri area. On June 4, 1938, she was united in marriage to James Boehm who preceded her in death on August 10, 1993 Surviving her are: four sons, Leo Boehm and wife, Rose; Randy Boehm and wife, Janet; Tim Boehm and wife, Janet; Chris Boehm and wife, Anna, all of St. Louis; seven grandchildren: Steve, Tammy, Valerie, Angela, David, Jacob and Mason; two great grandchildren: Bradley and Kyle; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A kind and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aril 1, 1994 from Hassebroek's Memorial Chapel in Sullivan, with Rev. David Menge officiating. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Hassebroek's Funeral Home, Sullivan.
