LULA ANN DOBKINS Lula Ann Dobkins was born June 13, 1912, in Crawford County, Missouri, a daughter of the late John Calvin and Lula Mae (Bayless) Enloe and entered eternal life March 8, 1994, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, Missouri, at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 25 days. On December 22, 1934, at Potosi, Missouri, Ann was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Earnest, Dobkins. They enjoyed over fifty years together before his death, February 26, 1984. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Herbert Enloe; one sister, Edna Wise; a son-in-law, Joe Lopez and a great grandson, Paden L. Callahan. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are five devoted sons: James L. "Jim" Dobkins and wife Sharon and Lawrence "Skip" Dobkins and wife Rita, of Steelville, Missouri; Walter E. "Gene" Dobkins and wife Jo Ann of Hanna, Wyoming; Paul E. Dobkins and wife Virginia of Laramie, Wyoming and Bill J. Dobkins and wife Lavern of Rolla, Missouri; two loving daughters: Betty June Lopez of Wichita, Kansas and Patricia Ann "Pat" and husband Stanley Brown of Ranchester, Wyoming; three sisters, Ruth Bell and Delores Willig, both of Sullivan, Missouri and Georgia Farris of Cuba, Missouri; brother-in-law, Marvin Dobkins and wife Helen of Steelville, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Lula Ann Dobkins lay in state after 4 p.m. Thurday, March 10, 1994, at the Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, March 11, 1994, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Phil Ransom and Rev. Lance Ford officiating. Musical selections were provided by vocalists Patti Campbell and Steve Eads. Committal prayers and interment were in Berryman cemetery, Berryman, Missouri. Pallbearers ere Ron Carron, Earl Garms, Russell Halbert, Mike Hall, Kenneth Poling, Pete Rider and Mike Turnbough. Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
