EDNA SARAH DULANY Edna Sarah DuLany was born January 17, 1908, at Huzzah, Missouri, a daughter of the late Philip Douglas and Maggie Jane (Sanders) Blunt and departed this world, September 27, 1994, in the St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 10 days December 27, 1926, at Bellville, Illinois, Edna was united in marriage to Harry Howard DuLany and six sons and four daughters were born to this union. They enjoyed over thirty-seven years together before his death, July 14, 1964. In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter, Phillip David DuLany and Mary Margaret DuLany and a son, Joseph Douglas DuLany, who lost his life while serving in the U.S. Navy; a son-in-law, Donald Lange; three brothers, Gilbert, Franklin and Milton Blunt and two sisters, Grace Dicus and Ella Coleman. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are four sons and three daughters, Harry H. DuLany and wife Mona of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; Timothy Eugene DuLany, Sr. and wife Sharon of High Ridge, Missouri; Pat DuLany and wife Nancy of Hillsboro, Missouri; Mike DuLany and wife Darlene of Fyfee, Alabama; Shirley and husband Bill Hawkins of Fort Worth, Texas; Audrey Lange of Cahokia, Illinois and Tamala Jane DuLany of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Cleo Hodkins of Potosi, Missouri and Ollie Wigger of Courtois, Missouri; one brother, Mutt Blunt and wife Gladys of Potosi, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Haskel Coleman of Springfield, Missouri; Faye Blunt of Phoenix, Arizona; Ida Mae England of Florissant, Missouri and Ruth DuLany and Melva DuLany both of Steelville, Missouri, twenty-nine grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, other relatives and friends. She accepted Christ at an early age and served her Lord, family and friends faithfully. She will be greatly missed by all. Edna Sarah DuLany lay in state after 1 P.M. Wednesday, September 28, 1994, at the Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held 2 P.M. Thursday, September 29, 1994, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Archie Lyle officiating. Musical selections were provided by organist Wanda Ransom and vocalist Diane Leonard. Committal prayers and interment were in Steelville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth DuLany, Michael DuLany, Jr., Pat Dulany, Jr., Steve DuLany, Matt Hawkins, Jeff Lange, Anthony Pollock. Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
