OLIVER J. ECKHARDT

Oliver Juluis Eckhardt was born February 2, 1912, at New Memphis, 
Illinois, a son of the late Charles F. and Pearl (Stephensen) 
Eckhardt and passed away November 1, 1994, at Sullivan, Missouri, 
at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 15 days.

In October 1956, Oliver was united in marriage to Lottie (Whitmire) 
Walls.  She preceded him in death, April 20, 1981.  November 14, 1991, 
he was married to Elaine Jane (Martin) Sanders, she too preceded him 
in death, April 21, 1994.  He was also preceded in death by one 
sister, Hilda Clifford.

Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his sister, Anna 
Metts of Silex, Missouri; a nephew, Jim Metts of St. Peters, Missouri, 
two step-daughters, Carole Jane Markham of St. Louis, Missouri and 
Mary Smith of Hiawatha, Kansas; step grandchildren, other relatives 
and friends.

Oliver Juluis Eckhardt lay in state after 10 a.m. Monday, 
November 21, 1994.  Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Monday, 
November 21, 1994 with Rev. Rick Dablemont officiating.  Musical 
selections were provided by vocalist Patti Campbell and Steve Eads.  
Committal prayers and interment were in Steelville Cemetery, 
Steelville, Missouri.

Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Bros. Funeral Home, 
Steelville, Missouri.
