MABEL FANNIE GREEN Mabel Fannie Green was born November 10, 1913, at Lick Creek, Missouri, a daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Frances D. (Ives) Brown and passed away June 4, 1994, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, Missouri, at the age of 80 years, 6 months, and 24 days. January 9, 1932, at Cherryville, Missouri, Mabel was united in marriage to John Edward Green and to this union seven sons and four daughters were born. They had enjoyed over fifty nine years together before his death March 15, 1991. In addition to her parents and husband, Mabel was preceded in death by two sons, John Junior Green, October 15, 1992 and an infant son Charles Ellis Green and an infant daughter, Linda Louise Green; four brothers, Walter Brown, Willie Brown, Harold Brown, and John Ed Brown and one sister, Edna Hutson. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are five sons, five daughters-in-law, three daughters and three sons-in-law; Kenneth and Doris Green, Jim Green, Joe and Glenda Green, all of Davisville, Missouri; Curtis and Mary Green of St. Charles, Missouri; Harold and Linda Green and Shirley (Mrs. John Junior) Green, Marie and Glen Martin, Barbara and Leroy Tidewell, all of Cherryville, Missouri; Joe and Glenda Green of Davisville, Missouri, Oma Lea and Paul Smith of Steelville, Missouri; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Harry Brown, Howard and Virginia Brown, Nellie (Mrs. John Ed) Brown, all of Cherryville, Missouri, and Harrison and Helen Brown of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister and brother-in-law, Mercide and Jim Quinton of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thurman and lavonda Green of Mt. Grove, Missouri; Geneva Green of Cherryville, Missouri; Marie Green of St. Louis, Missouri and Jimmy Hines of Bellville, Illinois; twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one great great grandson; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and many friends. Mabel Fannie Green lay in state after 12 noon Sunday, June 5, 1994, at the Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held 11 A.M. Monday, June 6, 1994, at the Center Ridge Pentecostal Church, Cherryville, Missouri with Rev. Harrison Brown and Rev. Robert Coleman officiating. Traditional hymns were provided by pianist Shirley Brown and vocalists Rev. and Mrs. Robert Coleman. Committal prayers and interment were in Martin Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri. Pallbearers were Bobby Green, Brian Green, Kevin Green, Doyle Neff, Steve Smith and Sean Stout. Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
