EDNA MAE MULLEN Edna Mae Mullen was born October 2, 1911, at Steelville, Missouri, a daughter of the late W. F. and Missouri Ann (Key) Arnett and entered eternal life March 20, 1994, at the Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 18 days. On Christmas Eve, 1954, at Steelville, Missouri, Edna Mae was united in marriage by Rev. Sam Roper, to John Thomas Mullen. They enjoyed over thirty-seven years together before his death June 20, 1992. Edna Mae became a member of Steelville Presbyterian Church in 1919, where she served as Deacon and pianist for a number of years. She was past Worthy Matron of Martha and Mary OES #364, and worked in the Garden Club and various civic and community organizations. She was a much loved piano teacher and taught for many years. Edna Mae lay in state after 2 P.M. Monday, March 21, 1994, at the Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held 11 A.M. Tuesday, March 22, 1994, in the Britton chapel with Revs. William and Susan Guyer Birth officiating. Musical selections were provided by Deloris Bell and Rusty Cook. Committal prayers and interment were in Steelville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry Adams, Jerry Bryan, John Carr, Jack England, Terry England, Gary Mullen and Homer Perkins. Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
