Wendell W. Paul of Bourbon, passed away Monday, July 4, 1994, at the age of 81 years. Mr. Paul was born May 22, 1913, in the Brazil area near Bourbon, to the late Ralph and Martha (Bouse) Paul. He has lived his entire life in the Bourbon area and was employed at General Motors for many years, from which he retired in July of 1979. On November 21, 1936, he was married to Daisey Pennock in Crawford County, and to this marriage five children were born. Wendell honorably served his country during W.W.II with the U.S. Army, as a Military Policeman. He as an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fishing for redhorse in Brazil Creek. After his retirement, he and Daisey enjoyed traveling throughout the western states. He was a man of his own convictions and knew how to motivate people to get things done. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Evelyn Paul of Bourbon, Eugene and Millie Paul of the state of Hawaii, Ralph and Judy Paul of Leasburg, two daughters, Marjorie Musselman of Freemont, California, and Joyce Shelton and husband, Duane of Bourbon, one sister Teresa Peace, 9 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mr. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Daisey, four brothers, Claude, Clark, Elmer and Walter Paul, and three sisters, Leona Pappas, Beaulah DeClue, and Virgie Mueller. Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 1994, from the Eaton Chapel in Bourbon, with Paster Scott Perry officiating. Interment was in Hardy Cemetery, Bourbon. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Chapel, Bourbon.
