Cecil Henry Pennock of Bourbon, passed away Thursday, November 3, 1994 at the age of 78 years. Cecil was born March 13, 1916 to Hugh Fnley and Elsie Pennock, at Bourbon, Mo., where he was raised. He honorably served his country during World War II with the United States Navy from 1941 until 1946. He served on several vessels and was involved in the Asiatic Pacific and European African Middle Eastern theatres. He was married on May 24, 1947 to Bonnie Lee Beckett, at Shirley, Missouri, and to this union three children were born. Cecil was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Company in Easst Peoria, Illinois for many years until his retirement. He then returned to live the remainder of his life at Bourbon, Mo. He was a kind and loving husband and father, who enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and traveling. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Lee Pennock (nee Beckett) of Bourbon, two sons, Tonti Pennock of Many, Louisiana, Gary Pennock of E. Peoria, Illinois, one daughter, Elaine Kammer of Bourbon, Mo., four brothers, Lloyd, Floyd, and Donald Pennock, all of Bourbon, and Elzie Pennock of Sullivan, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gene Pennock, and two sisters, Dot Summers and Lola Richards. Graveside funeral services were conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 1994 at Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Mo., with Reverend Fred Beckett officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hassebroek's Bourbon Chapel, Bourbon, Mo.
