Robert Thom, of St. James, Missouri formerly of Bourbon, Missouri, son of the late Robert and Delilah Woolridge Thom was born on November 6, 1914 in Correctionville, Iowa and departed this life on April 14, 1994 at Rolla Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri having attained the age of 79 years, five months and eight days. On July 24, 1991 he was united in marriage to Ida Raddatz. Surviving him are: his wife, Ida Thom; one son, Robert J. Thom and wife Ruth of Murreyville, Georgia; two grandsons; one sister, Carol Alvers of Souix City, Iowa; one sister-in-law of Souix City, Iowa; sister and brother-in-law Alice Stephens and husband Reid of Bourbon, Missouri; brother and sister-in-law Franklin Richardson and wife Terri of St. James, Missouri; three step sons; ten step grandchildren, and four step great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. A kind and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, step father, and friend, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 1994 from Hassebroek's Bourbon Chapel in Bourbon with Pastor Wexford Parmer officiating. Interment was in the Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Hassebroek's Bourbon Chapel, Bourbon, Missouri.
