Laverne Lillian Gerencser of Bourbon, was born August 6, 1920 at 
St. Louis, passed away Sunday at Sullivan, having attained the age of 
76 years.

Laverne was united in marriage to Stephen Gerencser, Sr. on 
June 14, 1941 at St. Louis.  She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran 
Church in Bourbon.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Gerencser, Sr. of Bourbon, one 
son, Stephen Gerencser, Jr. and wife Carol of Goldsboro, NC.; one 
grand-daughter, Jami Gerencser of Goldsboro, NS.; one sister, Georgia 
Scott and husband Kenneth of Fairview Heights, Ill.; one sister-in-law, 
Mary Wondracek of St. Louis; other relatives and many friends.

Laverne was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Laverne Lillian Gerencser was held from 4-8 p.m. 
Tuesday, December 18, 1996 at the Concordia Lutheran Church of 
Bourbon, with interment followed at the Bourbon Cemetery at Bourbon.

In lieu of flowers the family requested donations to the Concordia 
Lutheran Church.

Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Hassebroek-Felton 
Funeral Home at Bourbon.
