Ernest Williams Ernest G. Williams of Cuba, Missouri was born on July 15, 1912 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Leo and Florence Sapphire Williams, nee Renton and passed away February 1, 2000 at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 16 days. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and step mother, Elizabeth Renton Williams, who lovingly raised him after his mother’s death; three sisters, Florence Nudleman, Elsie Stock, Minnie Veach and one step sister, Dorothy Schanuth. Those surviving are his wife Virginia; two sons, James E. Williams and wife June; Morris Williams and wife Lois; two daughters, Florence Chapman and husband Harold and Roseymary Ross and husband Jerry; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were David Leslie, James Chapman, Darrin Williams, Keith Hoskins, Joe Whiteworth, Tom Stogsdell, Brad Mounce and Steve Wadlow. He was in state at the Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with funeral services February 4, 2000 with Rev. Mike Hannah officiating. Interment in the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
