WILLIAM CLEO BRITTON, 78, HILLSBORO William Cleo Britton, 78, of Hillsboro died Sept. 16, 2003, in De Soto.Mr. Britton was a chemist for Purex Corp. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Shriners and a Mason. Born July 2, 1925, in Davisville, Mo., he was the son of the late Scott and Della (Earls) Britton. He is survived by one son, Richard (Linda) Britton of De Soto; five daughters: Sharon (Butch) Milne of Hillsboro, Vicky Collins of Annapolis, Gail Powell of Hillsboro, Denise (Doug) Warren of Festus and Brenda (David) Woods of Greer, S.C.; seven brothers: Earl (Jackie) Britton of Caledonia, Junior Britton of Steelville, Leonard Britton, Bob Britton, Jim Britton, Jo Britton of Kentucky and Michael Ray Britton of Caledonia; six sisters: Hazel Boulch of Hillsboro, Delphia Boulch of Lake of the Ozarks, Leona Hedrick of Bixby, Dorothy Stevenson of Caledonia, Emily Clinton, Betty Garrison and Mina Brickia; 14 grand- children; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Britton; and one sister, Ruth Crow. Funeral services were held Sept. 19 at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Jeremy Muniz. Burial was in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto. ==================================================================== Copyright.
