CLARENCE EUGENE LONG Clarence Eugene Long was born on September 16, 1916 near Cuba, MO to the union of Clarence Ray Long and Viola Minnie Long (nee Conlin). He departed this life in Honolulu, Hawaii at 87 years of age on December 8, 2003. Better known as Eugene or Gene to his family and friends, he retired in 1973 in Hawaii after a long career with the federal goverment in logistics and supply. His work took him away from Missouri to California, Guam, Japan and Korea. He first married Melba (Dorothy) Maxine Moyer in 1939. To this union two sons were born, Lanny Eugene Counts, of Dripping Springs, TX. and Gary Allen Counts. He married second, Audrey Hazel Shulte (nee Hartman) in 1948. From this marriage another son was born, Terry (Randy) Randall Long of Shannon County, MO. His third marriage was to Sue Ren Suh in 1966. Mr. Long leaves behind three half brothers and sisters; Beulah Schlife (Sharp) of Riverside, CA., Violet Mulder (Sharp) of Cuba, MO. and Leroy Sharp of Bridgeton, N.C. A brother-in-law, William Martin of Alton, ILL., and a sister-in-law, Viola Sharp of Perryville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue, brothers, Walter Sharp, Paul Sharp and sisters;, Geneva Crabtree (Long), Berniece Martin (Sharp).
