The following Crawford county newspaper clipping was pasted in an old
scrapbook by an unknown collector. No relation to me.. nothing more than
this...

Mrs. MARTHA T. ROBERTS, wife of MR. THOMAS H. ROBERTS, formerly editor
of the Mirror, and now treasurer of Harney county, Oregon, died at her
home in Harney, Oregon, Dec. 4, 1891 and was buried the following day.
she was the mother of MRS. NELLIE GRACE, of Burns, Oregon, MRS. DELLIE
WALTON, of Mollow, MO. and of MISS IDA ROBERTS & JOHN E. ROBERTS, of
Harney, Oregon. She was born in Mercer Co., KY., and was married to
THOMAS H. ROBERTS June 20, 1842. She was a resident of this county for
many years and was held in high esteem by all who knew her as a worthy,
intelligent, faithful Christian woman. She reared her children to
worthy, intellient man and womanhood, bore the burdens of life patiently
and well, and leaves to her children the best of legacies, the memory of
a faithful mother's love and earnest unceasing prayers. Many hearts will
throb with grief and sympathy as they read this announcement and will
send with us condolence to the bereaved family in their far western
home.
