Union And American May 11, 1871 Under heading Local Jottings: Mr. William H. Staples, from Dade County, Missouri, was in the city yesterday, endeavoring to find his brother, Jas. G. Staples, who was recently released from the penitentiary. He requests us to state, for the information of his brother, that he will be in the city for several days, and that inquiry may be made for him at the Louisville depot. He says that his brother was imprisoned on the charge of killing a negro, but that, as he has had not opportunity of conversing with him he does not know whether he was guilty or not.
