He married Ann Marie Tibbits, daughter of Alvin and Martha Ann Pangburn Tibbits, May 1851. John and Ann Hoobler are listed in the Missouri 1880 Census as living in Dallas Co., Jackson Township, listing #99. It shows the following: John R. 54 OH Ann M. 50 KY son John B 21 IN dau Emma 17 IN son Sherman 15 IN son Lawson B. 12 IN son William W. 23 IN dau Catherine (Clark) 19 MO John was listed in the Fifth Cavalry, Nineteenth Reg, Indiana volunteers, Co G as a a wagoner. John and Ann are listed in the Land Records of Dallas County as owning land, Book D pg 24, 25, 26 filed November 21st, 1870. Other land records shows that they owned several pieces of land in the county where he was a farmer near Foose, MO.. Ann died November 9, 1893 and her obituary is in the Buffalo Reflex Nov 16, 1893. John died March 12, 1902 in Dallas Co., Jackson Township, MO and they are both buried in Church Grove Cemetery, Dallas Co., MO.. Thank you, Nancy J.
