This William Givens was the son of Merrit Givens of Daviess Co., Mo.  See 
Merrit's family records elsewhere in the Daviess Co., Mo. Archives.  William 
did not fulfill the 6 months of service.  William Givens was ordered into 
service 18 Sept. 1861 and died of disease 8 Dec. 1861.  He is buried at the 
Wooderson Cemetery, Daviess Co., Mo. beside his father Merrit Givens.
