Jonathan Splawn was the son of Isaac Splawn and Elizabeth Wood Splawn.  He was 
born around 1813.  Jonathan was married twice.  His second wife was Hannah 
Kelso.  Jonathan lived in Daviess Co., Mo. and Linn Co., Ks.  His sister 
Sebrina Splawn Allen was Nancy Allen Givens' mother.  See records for Nancy 
Givens elsewhere in the Daviess Co., Mo. Archives.  The John Splawn that is 
listed also in Capt. Sconce's Co. was probably the John Splawn that was his 
brother.  This John Splawn was married to Rebecca Blevins.  See comments under
