Goforth Cemetery, Miller Township - Douglas County, Missouri The GOFORTH Cemetery is listed in Volume 2 of the DOUGLAS COUNTY CEMETERIES, published by the Historical Society Contents: "Goforth, Polly Ann - died age 39 yr., 5 MO, 29 da., on Apr 20, 1885 Wife of Miles Goforth" (Note: could be 29 yr.) "Polly Ann Aug 29, 1888 - Aug 16, 1889 Dau of G. W. & Sarah (Hill) Goforth" -- there are several unmarked graves " G. W. Goforth married Sarah Hill, 19 Aug 1889" " Miles Goforth married Matilda Blankenship, 5 Nov 1885" " John Goforth married Eliza Percell, 12 Mar 1889" Location: Located in Miller Township, Section 24, Township, 27 Range 15 Directions: Take Highway 5 North to East 76, then turn right on it and go to Highway.. Turn left onto U Highway and go on it until you go down a long hill and come to where it goes over Bryant Creek. It is located in the curve of U Highway, just before you come upon the crossing of Bryant Creek on the South side. It is in the timber and it is very grown up with vegetation and hard to find. Part of it is on the right-of-way of the highway.
