Robison normadeplume@wmconnect.com April 21, 2007, 5:07 am Unknown Last Rites Tuesday For Jim Fletcher Last rites for Jim Fletcher, 83, were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 22, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, and burial was in the Murray cemetery. The Rev. E. L. Watkins of Ava officiated. Mr. Fletcher died Saturday, Dec. 19, in Ava, at the home of Maggie Naugle. He was a retired farmer and had moved here from Squires. The son of George and Ellen Fletcher, he was born June 5, 1876, at Louisville, Ky., and was married in 1893 to Tellie Turner, who died in 1925. Surviving children are: Anthony of St. Petersburg, Fla., Rosco of Squires, Jonah of Carver, Minn., Marvin of Superior, Nebr., Iva Johnson of Ava, Versia (Clifford F.) Parson of Fallon, Nev., and Freeda Henderson of Idaho; and by a second marriage, Bill of Tulsa, Okla., Raymond of Strafford, Mo., Freemon of Springfield, and Seiford of Denver, Colo. Also surviving are a brother, Edd Fletcher of Cameron, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Stoney Williams of Kansas City and Mrs. James Johnson of Culbertson, Nebr.; 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
