Anna G. Freeman being of sound mind appeals to Almighty God to witness this her last will and testament. First, I will that my body be put away in neat but not expensive manner. And I further will and bequeath unto my five Sons and their heirs, as follows, to the heirs of John N. Freeman the sum of one Dollar and I will that the remainder of my estate, after the above expenses and Legacies are paid be equally divided between my four other sons, to wit C. M. Freeman, William H. Freeman and J. G. Freeman, and I further make choice and appoint my son Wm H. Freeman as my Executor to Execute this my last will. Signed this 28th day of March A. D. 1888 before the undersigned withnesses her Witnesses Anny X Freeman mark H.C. Brazeal William Ligett Be it remembered that on this 9th day of Oct. 1893, personally appeared Wm Liggett one of the attesting witnesses, and after being duly sworn says the above is the last will of the said Anna Freeman and that the same was signed by her in his presents and the he signed in the presence of the testator & in the presence of H. C. Brazeal, and be in further remembered that Wm Liggett & H. C. Freeman, on their oaths state that the above will was signed by H. C. Brazeal as a witness, and in their presence and in the presence of the testator, and that the said Wm C. Brazeal is now dead. Sworn before me this 9th day of Oct, 1893 John A. Spurlock Note The above document has several obvious mistakes that are probably due to the Clerk's errors upon entry into Will Book A. These errors are: 1. Sarah A. Adkins should read "Sarah A. Atkisson" Sarah was born 22 Jul 1837 in Roane Co. TN and died 19 Oct 1895 in Wright Co. MO. She married Jesse W. Atkisson and they had 10 children. Sarah Adeline Freeman was my great-grandmother. 2. Sarah J. Dill should read "Susan J. Dill" Susan was born ca 1846 in Roane Co. TN 3. The missing name in the list of sons is "Henry" who was born ca 1844 in Roane Co. TN 4. The last mention of Mr. Brazeal shows "Wm C" when it should read "H. C."
