Thomas Family of Dunklin County, Missouri burials This "Double" gravestone reads: FRENLY EDWARD THOMAS Aug. 3, 1875 - July 2, 1959 MALISSA PARLEE wife of Frenly Edward Jan. 4, 1876 June 21, 1944 Frenly Thomas was born in Christian Co., KY His parents were Charles Edward Thomas & Fannie Prudence Copal of VA Frenly & Malissa Parlee Bass married on Nov. 21, 1894 in Dunklin Co., MO Malissa was born in Cuba Landing, Tennessee. BOTH of Frenly's grandfathers served as Confederate soldiers during the Civil War. BOTH served in the 44th VA Infantry - Co.I Abraham COPAL (born in Germay) & John William THOMAS. John Thomas lost a limb during the war. This grave is located in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, MO The cemetery is on College St., a couple of blocks from the North Bypass.
