THOMAS 1853-1940 This was Fannie Prudence Copal- Thomas of Charlotte Co., VA Fannie was born on June 11, 1853 in Charlotte Co. Her parents were Abraham Copal of Germany & Prudence Elizabeth Newcomb- Copal. Fannie married Charles Edward Thomas on Feb. 10, 1871 in Kentucky. She died on Feb. 16, 1940 at the age of 86. She was living with her daughter, Ora Thomas- Pittman-Ralaford at her time of death. Fannie had been stated to giving birth to "21" children. Her grave is located in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, MO The cemetery is located on College St., a couple of blocks from the North Bypass. The grave site is on the third drive into the cemetery. E-mail: probinet@midsouh.rr.com Through our Family Genealogy Research, we discovered the THOMAS family was decendants from our great-great grandfather, Abraham Copal (Fannie's father). Abe was a Confederate soldier from Charlotte Co., VA during the Civil War. He obtained his citizenship on May 7, 1855 in Charlotte Co., VA He was born in Germany on Feb. 22, 1822.
