Franklin County, Missouri deed book 9, pp. 637-638 Names in this record: BAUR, Michael HAASE, William VALLÉE, John, Mary John & Mary Ann Vallée to Willam Haase, 20 May 1871, 2.4 acres in Franklin County page 637 This Deed, made and entered into this Twentieth day of May A.D. 1871, by and between John Vallée and Mary Ann Vallée his wife of the County of Franklin in the State of Missouri parties of the first part, and William Haase of the County of Franklin in the State aforesaid party of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of fifty five Dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do, by these presents, grant bargain and sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, the following described tract or parcel of Land, situate in the County of Franklin in the state of Missouri to wit: part of SE 1/4 of SE1/4 of Section 15 Township 44 Range 3 West, and described as follows: Beginning at the South East Corner of Section 15 running thence North 11 chs. 20 links, thence S. 20 3/4 [degrees] W 12 chs. to Section line, thence East 4 chs. 28 links to the beginning, containing 2 40/100 acres. To have and to hold the same, together with all the rights, immunities, privileges and appurtenances to the same page 638 belonging or in any wise appertaining into the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever: The said John Vallée and Mary Ann Vallée his wife hereby covenant that they and their heirs, Executors and Administrators shall and will, Warrant and Defend the title to the premises to the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof, the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals this the day and year first above mentioned. Be it remembered, that John Vallée and Mary Ann, his wife, who are personally known to the undersigned Recorder of Deeds , within and for said County to be the persons whose names are subscribed to the within or foregoing deed, as parties thereto, this day appeared before me, and acknowledged that they executed and delivered the same as their voluntary act and deed, for the uses and purposes therein contained, and the said Mary Ann, being by me made acquainted with the contents of said deed, acknowledged on an examination apart from her said husband, that she executed the same and relinquished her dower in the real Estate therein mentioned, freely and without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband.
