March 31, 1913 – Franklin County Tribune

Mrs. Ed Napier died at home near St. Clair February 24, 1916 at the age of 45 
years 10 months 20 days.  On April 2, 1905 she married Ed Nappier.  From this 
union came eight children.  She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ethel King, 
Mt. Hope, Mrs. Hattie Riche, Six Brothers;  Clarence Short, Mt. Hope; Henry 
Short, Meramec, Walter Short, Pipe Creek, Warren of Tennessee, Robert Short, 
Aaron Short Mt. Hope.  She is survived also by her mother Matilda Short at Oak 
Grove Cemetery.
