Biographical Sketch of J. W. W. Witton is a native of Missouri, and was born in Grundy County, on the 23rd day of June, 1855. For two years Mr. Witton was a student at Central College, Fayette, Missouri, leaving their prior to the spring of 1875, when he commenced the study of law under Colonel J. H. Shank- lin. In the fall of 1877 he was admitted to the bar at Hillsborough, Hill County, Texas, whither he had gone to begin the practice of his profession.
