S. Adams had died that morning. He had been in his usual health up to a short time of his death. His death was caused by heart failure. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30, conducted by Revs. Sturges and Barnum, and the remains were laid to rest at High Ridge cemetery. While we regret the death of a friend and neighbor of many years, it is a great pleasure to state that Scott Adams was one of our best citizens and neighbors, and a man who believed in the application of the golden rule and used it in his daily walks. He was widely known and loved by all who knew him, and his sudden death will be mourned by many. No better man in our opinion has lived or died in Stanberry. - The Editor. (V. T. Williams)
