All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Headlight, Gentry County Missouri, Thursday, 21 Oct. 1976, page 2: Rites Held For Mrs. Adams: Funeral services for Mrs. May Adams, 76, of Stanberry, who died Monday at the Gentry County Memorial hospital in Albany, were not known as this paper was preparing to go to press late Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Adams had been in failing health for several months. She had been a patient in the Albany hospital since September 14. She had been a resident of Stanberry since 1938. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Krey Packing Co., that had a hog buying plant in Stnaberry. Mrs. Adams was the daughter of John and Minerva Frances Harris Hastings and was born at Springfield, Mo., on August 14, 1900. She was a graduate of the Springfield high school and of the University of Missouri, Columbia. She was a member of the Springfield Baptist church. She was married to A. J. Adams of Stanberry on September 22, 1952. He survives her. She also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hurst of Lockhart, Tex., and a niece, Mrs. Hilda H. Lassen, of Phoenix, Ariz.
