Allen Dies in Arkansas: Funeral services were tentatively scheduled to be held at 2:30 o'clock today (Thursday) in the Johnson Funeral home chapel for a former Stanberry resident, Edward William (Bill) Allen, 43, who died Monday in Jacksonville, Ark. The rites will be conducted by the rev. Lawrence Matlock, pastor of the Stanberry Baptist church, and burial will be in the High ridge cemetery. Survivors include five sons, Edward W. Allen jr., Charles Allen, George Allen and Lloyd Allen, of the home, and Robert David Allen with the U. S. Navy. Mr. Allen's wife, the former Miss Helen Marie Cummings, daughter of Mrs. Walter E. Cummings of Stanberry, and the late Mr. Cummings, preceded him in death on July 13, 1967. Mr. Allen, a native of Lansing, Kan., was a carpenter. He served with the U. S. Navy during World War II. He and his sons moved from Omaha, Nebr., to Jacksonville five months ago. He had been in ill health for several years.
