Born Feb. 19, 1921 in Phelps County, MO., he was the son of Albert and Rhoda Adeline (Rhoads) Allison. On Dec. 30, 1933, he was united in marriage to Helen Ann Barnes. She preceded him in death April 27, 1983. He married Hazel Wharton Poff on June 29, 1985. He was an elementary and high school teacher in Stewartsville, McFall and several South Missouri schools. He also owned and operated Allison Concrete Products before his retirement. He was a member of the Alanthus Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Allison; sister, Margaret Carson and a granddaughter, Rebecca Lindeman. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Allison, Stanberry; a son, Laton Allison, and wife, Janet, Stanberry; daughter Melba Gail Lindeman, and husband, Doug, New Bern, NC; step-son, Lloyd Poff, Stanberry; two step-daughters, Joyce Wiederholt, Stanberry, and Dolores Wallace, Gentry; three grandchildren, Tracy Boone, and husband, Tom, St. Louis; Scott Lindeman and wife Stacey, Olathe, KS. and Tyler Allison and wife, Marci, Rogers, AR.; four great- grandchildren, Sally, Jane, Henry and Charles Boone, St. Louis; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services were held June 29 at the Alanthus Church of Christ with burial in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry. Memorials may be given to the King City Manor Service Unit or a memorial of their choice. Arrangements were handled by Roberson-Polley Chapel, Stanberry.
