All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Stanberry Headlight, Gentry County Missouri, Thursday, November 24, 1966, Front page: Mrs. Ada Angle Taken By Death: Final services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 23) at the Weatherby Methodist church for Mrs. Ada Beatrice Angle, 72, who was taken by death Sunday while attending services at the Weatherby church. The rites will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Harold Johnson and burial will be in the High Ridge cemetery here, under the direction of the Bram Funeral Home, Maysville. Mrs. Angle, who had spent most of her life in the Stanberry and King City communities before moving to Weatherby in 1960, is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Frances Parkhurst, Weatherby; a son, Oscar K. Angle, Jr., St. Louis; a brother, Harvey L. Gillett, St. Joseph, and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two half-sisters, Electa McNeil and Grace Duvall. Mrs. Angle, daughter of the late Fred and Turrissa Ann Johnson Gillett, was born June 11, 1894, near Island City. She lost both parents at an early age and was reared in the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Gillett, and uncle, Pearl Gillett. She confessed her faith at an early age and was a member of the Stanberry Christian church.
