George R. Berg:

George Robert Berg, 67, Stanberry, died Aug. 21, 1994 at a St. Joseph 
hospital.

Mr. Berg retired from the Navy after serving from 1938 to 1968 and 
participating in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

A native of Omaha, Nebr., he had lived in Maryville, MO., and Bellflower, 
CA., prior to moving to Stanberry.  Mr. Berg was a high school graduate and 
attended college for two years.  He was a member of Stanberry Lodge No. 
109, A.F.&A.M.

In 1948 he married Joan E. "Jody" Dodge of Omaha.  She survives at King 
City.  Mr. Berg was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Berg.  
Additional survivors include a daughter, Maliheh Berg, Sunderland, Mass. 
and a brother, Thorval L. "Bud" Berg of Pennsylvania.

Funeral services were held Aug. 23 at the Johnson Funeral Home in Stanberry 
with burial in the High Ridge Cemetery.
