Clyde was the son of James Brown and wife, living north of Stanberry. He was married to Miss Florence Pierce December 12th, 1908. To this union three children were born: Eva, Neva and Mona Frances. Clyde made the good confession in Stanberry in 1907 during the revival meeting of Evangelist W. S. Lockhart and was a member of the local congregation. He leaves to mourn: His parents, a wife, three children, four brothers, Leonard, Paul and Dale, and one sister, Mona Brown. Clyde had been in poor health for a number of years and spent a great part of his time in the west. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday morning at 11:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Eld. Lee H. Barnum, and the remains were laid to rest in High Ridge cemetery.
