Carroll, 73, Stanberry, died Nov. 10, 1999, at Pine View Manor in Stanberry. Mr. Carroll owned and operated the Carroll Chevrolet dealership in Stanberry for 21 years, until his retirement. He was still engaged in farming at the time of his death. Born in Isadora on April 28, 1926, he served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Carroll was a member of the First Christian Church, where he served as an elder; the Stanberry Masonic Lodge No. 109, A.F. & A.M. and Hunter Chapter No. 238, Order of Eastern Star, also of Stanberry; Moila Shrine Temple, St. Joseph and Raymond Sager American Legion Post No. 260, Albany. Survived by his wife of the home. Additional survivors include his mother, Althea Carroll, Stanberry, a brother, George Carroll, Jr., Grant City and a sister, Lena Mastin, Stanberry. Funeral Services were held Nov. 21 at the First Christian Church in Stanberry with burial in Highridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Stanberry or Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Stanberry, which handled arrangements.
