They made their home at Stanberry, where he was employed at the Church of God Publishing House. A daughter, Helen, was born to them here on June 20, 1936. The family moved to Marion, Ia., in January, 1944, and Elder Christenson pastored the church there for six months before moving to Rice Lake, Wis. Sister Christenson, with her husband and daughter, lived there for two years while he was pastor of the Church of God at Chetek, Wis. The family moved to Cedar Rapids, Ia., in 1946 and Sister Christenson aided her husband in his work as pastor of the Marion, Ia., Church of God. Due to the illness of Elder Christenson in 1952, the family moved to Stanberry to the home of his parents. There Sister Christenson stayed at his side, nursing him back to health. Following his recovery, Elder and Sister Christenson were again employed for a time at the publishing house here. The family moved to High Point in 1957 and then to Farmville, N.C., where he was pastor of the Church of God. Elder and Sister Christenson in 1961 accepted the call to pastor the Church of God at Kansas City, MO., where they had since remained. Sister Christenson had always been very active in assisting her husband in the work of the church and in the women's activities of the church. In addition, she has served as editor of the young people's paper of the church, then called the Christian Youth Herald and Gospel Call. Also for a time she edited the children's paper, the Sabbath School Missionary. In addition to her husband and daughter, Helen, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Martha Langville, of Winter, Wis., four brothers, Earl, Glen and Walter, of Winter, and Lester of Loretta, Wis., and by one sister, Mrs. Morris Moon of Viroqua, Wis.
