A. Cogdill, who died at her home in Norwood, Mo., last Tuesday. The funeral servies here were conducted by the Rev. Jas. B. W. Moore and interment was in the High Ridge Cemetery. The following obituary has been furnished this office: Tellitha Short, daughter of Abner and Margaret Ann Short, was born in Platte county, Mo., March 11, 1871, living there with her parents until about 11 years of age. The family then moved to Gentry county, where she spent her girlhood days. It was here she met and married W. A. Cogdill, on March 6, 1887. To this union six children were born: Mattie Lee, Harry Earl, Fredrick William, Lois Dell, Goldie May and Albert Leslie. Although the family was widely scattered, in Iowa, Missouri and Texas, when the call came that mother was ill, all were able to be at her bedside at the last. Our mother was a true Christian, lovin and kind, ever ready to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. At the age of 15 years, she united with the Missionary Baptist Church at Stanberry, Mo. With her family she lived in and near Stanberry until 1913, when they moved to Royal, Iowa. They made their home there until February, 1922, when they moved to Norwood, Wright county, Mo. She united with the Norwood Baptist Church by letter. She became seriously ill with pneumonia on April 27 and passed away on May 2, 1932, at her home in Norwood, at the age of 61 years, one month and 21 days. She leaves to mourn her going, besides her devoted husband and children, 13 grandchildren, two sisters, one brother and a host of other relation and friends. Short services were held at Norwood.
