News-Press; Friday, November 04, 2005: Gary Cooper 1937-2005; STANBERRY, Mo. - Gary "Buzz" Cooper, 68, of Stanberry, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005, at the St. Joseph hospital. Gary was born July 6, 1937, in Gentry County, Mo. He was the son of Ross and Viola Marie (Shanks) Cooper. They preceded him in death. On April 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Shisler. She survives of the home. He also is survived by four daughters, Ellen Wulf, and husband, Tom, Ashland, Va.; Diane Rice, and husband, Troy, Roswell, Ga.; Janet Stoll, and husband, Mike, Stanberry; and Kristan Schettler, and husband, Joe, Carlisle, Iowa; son, Curtis Cooper, and wife, Regina, Marietta, Ga.; three sisters, Dolores O'Neal, Colleen Lane and Carol Evans, all of Stanberry; brother, Jerry Cooper, Jefferson City, Mo.; and 13 grandchildren. Gary was a farmer and member of the First Baptist Church of Stanberry. Funeral service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at First Baptist Church, Stanberry. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Roberson-Polley Chapel, Stanberry, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Burial: High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry.
