Corley: Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Margaret F. Corley at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Stanberry Methodist church, with the Rev. J. Frederick Lawson officiating. Interment was in the High Ridge cemetery. Mrs. Corley, age 79, a resident of Stanberry and vicinity for most of her life, died last Wednesday afternoon at a St. Joseph hospital, where she had received care and treatment for more than a year. The daughter of the late Abraham J. and Sarah Groom, she was born in California. After the death of her mother, when she was about five years of age, she came with her father to the Alanthus vicinity, where she was reared. She married to B. F. Corley on March 8, 1893, and for many years they farmed in the Stanberry area. Mr. Corley died Aprl 13, 1939. Mrs. Corley had been a member of the Stanberry Methodist chruch for more than 50 years. Surviving her are one daughter, Miss May Corley, of Albany; two grandsons, Guy Corley of Los Angeles, Calif., and Harold Corely, Ravenwood; two great- grandsons and other relatives. The funeral services were under the direction of the Johnson mortuary.
