Crow, Albany, Was a Brother of Robert Crow: Claude O. Crow, 81, Albany, lifelong Gentry county resident, died Sunday night at a St. Joseph nursing home. The following obituary has been furnished this newspaper: Claud Orton Crow, son of Martin and Mary Jane Givauden Crow was born in Gentryville, Mo., on Aug. 28, 1869. He departed from this life April 15, 1951, at St. Joseph, Mo, where he had been receiving treatment for the past three months. He united with the church at the age of 15 and throughout his life was active in church work in the community where he resided. In later years, the memory of service as a Sunday school teacher brought him great pleasure. He was united in marriage on Oct. 27, 1889, with Anna Eliza Fugett. Three children were born to that union. A son died in infancy and two daughters. At the time of their marriage, they established a home in the Gentryville - Darlington communities. They moved in 1894 to the McFall community and in 1898 moved to the farm which was their home for 47 years. The house on the farm was destroyed by fire in 1945 and they then established a home at Albany. Mrs. Crow preceded him in death, having passed away suddenly at the home on Jan. 20, 1951. He leaves to mourn his death two daughters, Mrs. Carloyn Fitzgerald of Valley Center, Kan., and Mrs. Marion Kunse of Los Angeles, Cal. He also is survived by one brother, Robert B. Crow of this city; two grandsons; two great- granddaughters; several neices and nephews, and many friends. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Brooks mortuary at Albany, conducted by the Rev. George W. Manning, pastor of the Albany Christian church. Burial was at the Grandview cemetery at Albany.
