She had been in failing health for several years. Mrs. Crow suffered a stroke at her home here about one week prior to her death. It was realized then that her condition was critical and little hope was held for her recovery. She was the widow of R. B. Crow, and had lived in Stanberry for the past 26 years. Mrs. Crow was the daughter of Armstrong and Elizabeth Floyd and was married to John C. Swearingen in 1890. He died in 1922. She then was married to Mr. Crow on Sept. 3, 1943. Mrs. Crow had no children, but took her nephew, Otha Swearingen, when he was 11 months old, reared him and later adopted him as her son. She is survived by the husband, of the home, the adopted son, of St. Louis, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Marie McMullin, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Mrs. J. T. Cummings, of San Diego, Calif. There are other relatives and many friends. The remains were taken to the Phillips Mortuary pending funeral arrangements. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. Lee Lewis, pastor of that church. Interment was in the High Ridge cemetery.
