Daniel Funeral Monday: Young farmer died last Satuday in State Sanatarium at Mt. Vernon following major operation: James F. Daniel, young farmer of this community, died last Saturday in the state sanatorium at Mt. Vernon, MO., following a major operation from which pneumonia resulted. He had been a patient in the sanatorium for the past 18 months. Daniel was believed to be improving and the operation was said to have been necessary for further improvement. Funeral services were conducted Monday in the Baptist church her by the Rev. Robert Turner of Albany and the Rev. P. O. Nystrand of the Stanberry Christian church. Interment was in the High Ridge cemetery north of town. The following obituary has been furnished this office. James Forrest Daniel was born November 18, 1906, and passed away June 22, 1906, and passed away June 22, 1940, at the age of 33 years, seven months and four days. He was born at the family home, where he resided until his marriage. He was united in marriage to Miss Arlene Motzkus on February 14, 1935. To them two children were born, Martha Charlene, age 4 years, and Annetta Joyce, 20 months. He attended the Wilson grade school and was graduated from the Stanberry high school in 1925. He spent all of his life on the farm. For the past 18 months he was a patient in the state sanatorium at Mt. Vernon, MO., where he underwent a major operation last Wednesday, resulting in pneumonia. His father, A. K. Daniel, preceded him in death April 4, 1940. He was baptized at the age of 11 years into the First Baptist church of Stanberry, where he was a member until his death. He was a good Christian and a kind and loving husband and father. He was always very patient and always willing to help everyone. He was very devoted to his wife and children, and asked only to be with them and to serve God. He, his wife and children held bonds of love and companionship that never can be broken. He will be sadly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his departure his mother, Mrs. A. K. Daniel; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth King of Stanberry and Mrs. Vern Workman of King City; two brothers, Paul and Robert, of Stanberry; his grandmother, Mrs. Martha Larison, and a host of other relatives and friends.
