Deering 1918- 2005; SAVANNAH, Mo. - Margie Evelyn (Walker) Deering, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, in a Savannah nursing home. Margie was bom March 12, 1918, in Gentry County, Mo. In addition to being a home-maker, she sold Avon for 38 years. A graduate of Stanberry High School, Margie was a member of the Helena United Methodist Church; and the Order of Eastern Star. She also enjoyed quilting. On Feb. 16, 1946, she married Herschel Deering in Troy, Kan. He preceded her in death Nov. 28, 1983. Her parents, Anthony "Tuff' and Laura (Richards) Walker; infant daughter, Linda Rae Deering; son, Lloyd Deering; and brother, Rex Walker, also preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Dan Bayer of Savannah; six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah. Interment: High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, Mo. Public visitation and family receiving 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home. Memorials: Hands of Hope Hospice.
