Deering, 85, died Dec. 22, 2000, at a Savannah health care center. Born July 16, 1915, in Deepwater, MO., she resided most of her life in Andrew County as a homemaker. Mrs. Deering was a member of the Union Star Methodist Church. On April 29, 1935, she married Raymond A. Deering in Maryville. He survives on the home. Mrs. Deering was preceded in death by her parents, O. L. and Ethel (Robertson) Clements; eight brothers, Marvin, Elmer, Clell, Chester, Louis, Johnnie, Huston and Charles Clements. Additional survivors include two sons, Willis Deering, Fillmore and Wayne Deering, King City; a daughter, Wilda Hill, Dearborn; a sister, Edith Hagen, Savannah; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services were held Dec. 26 at Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah, with burial in the Savannah cemetery. Memorials may be made to LaVerna Village Nursing Home, 904 Hall St., Savannah, MO. 64485.
