All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Friday, November 12, 2004: Wray Eugene Emrich, 77, Carson City, NV., died Nov. 2, 2004, at Reno, NV. He was born Sept. 15, 1927 in Stanberry; the son of Mark and Elsie Emrich. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Earl Emrich. Mr. Emrich was raised in Stanberry and had resided in Carson City, NV. for 13 years. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was an aviation machinist in the Navy and later for McDonald Douglas Aircraft. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve. He is survived by his wife, Molly Emrich, of the home in Carson City; three children, Wray Emrich, Jr., Charleston, SC.; Linda Blake, McCook, NE. and Wayne Emrich, Culbertson, NE.; two brothers, Harold Emrich, Ft. White, FL. and Robert Emrich, Cameron; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Nov. 10 at Roberson-Polley Chapel in Stanberry. Burial was in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry. Military rites were by Missouri Funeral Honors team.
