"Peck" Enyart Jr., 79, Jefferson City, formerly of Stanberry, died Sunday, April 18, 1993, at a health care center here. Mr. Enyart retired as the owner of Enyart Lumber Co. in Stanberry. He also served as mayor of Stanberry for seveal terms, on the city council and board of public works. He was a Missouri delegate to National Democratic conventions and received the Jerry Litton Award from the 6th District of Missouri. Mr. Enyart, born Sept. 29, 1913, the son of Claude L. and Harriet (England), lived most of his in Stanberry, where he was graduated from high school. He attended the University of Kansas at Lawrence and University of Missouri at Columbia. He was a member of the First Christian Church at Stanberry; Stanberry Lodge No. 109, A.F. and A.M.; Stanberry Chamber of Commerce; Stanberry Development Industry Board; Scottish Rite Bodies, of which he was a 32nd degree, and Moila Temple Shrine, both of St. Joseph; and Albany Commandery No. 60 and Albany Chapter No. 116. He married the former Ivy M. Thompson in 1941. She died in 1984. Mr. Enyart also was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence E. Surviving is a sister, Louisa A. Hansman, Arlington, VA., and two nephews. Services were Apr. 23 at the Johnson Funeral Home, Stanberry, with Masonic rites by members of the Stanberry Lodge No. 109, A.F. and A.M. Burial was in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry.
