All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Friday, September 15, 2000: Wilbur Eulinger, 81, Lawson, died Sept. 8, 2000, at a Liberty hospital. Mr. Eulinger was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He also worked for Boeing in Wichita, KS., during World War II. He served in the Army Air Corps., during the latter part of the war. In 1946, he began farming in DeKalb County. From 1964 to 1971 he and his wife owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Maysville. He retired in 1978. Born Jan. 15, 1919, near Fairport; he was a graduate of Grandview high school near Berlin. He lived most of his life in the Fairport and Maysville communities and was a member of the National Rifle Assoc. On July 4, 1941, he married Lois E. Pittsenbarger in Troy, KS. She preceded him in death in 1999. Mr. Eulinger was also preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Grace Eulinger; a brother, Willis Eulinger and a sister, Doris M. Eulinger. Survivors include two sons, Ron Eulinger, Lee's Summit and James Eulinger, Maysville; a daughter, Cheryl Kennedy, Lawson; two sisters, Gladys M. Morris, Maysville and Carol J. Ebel, Overland Park, KS.; six grandchildren; a step-grandchild and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sept. 11 at the Bram Funeral Home, Maysville, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, south of Albany. Memorials may be sent to the senior citizens center in Maysville.
