The Stanberry Headlight, Thursday, August 13, 1953:

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Stanberry Baptist church 
for Mrs. Maude Farr, 68 years old, who died Sunday at the home of a son, 
Vincent Farr, in Shelby, IA.

Also surviving are other sons, Roy Farr, Worth; Wade Farr of Shelby, and C. 
E. Farr, Stewartsville, MO.; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Snodgrass, 
Darlington; Mrs. Vica Thompson, Belton, and Mrs. Virginia Cressman, Hickman 
Mills, MO.; a sister, Mrs. Ona Bateman, St. Joseph, and a brother, Fred 
Burroughs, Darlington.

Prior to the services the body was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Noah 
Ray, near Gentry.  Burial was in High Ridge cemetery at Stanberry.
