Fisher were held Sunday afternoon at the Phillips mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Albert W. Blood, pastor of the local Methodist church. Interment was in High Ridge cemetery. Miss Fisher, age 35, died last Friday morning following a major operation she had undergone several days before at the state hospital in St. Joseph. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fisher and was born here on March 25, 1905. At the age of two years she suffered an attack of infantile paralysis and was a semi-invalid the remainder of her life. Shortly after her childhood illness, she was taken into the home of her uncle and aunt, the late W. A. VanHook and his wife, Mrs. Minnie VanHook, who reared her and gave her all the care and consideration any parents could give, until she was admitted to the St. Joseph hospital two years ago. Survivors include three brothers, Lee and Frank Fisher of Stanberry and George Fisher of St. Joseph, her aunt, Mrs. VanHook, and other relatives.
