All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Don Raymond The Tri-County News, Friday, October 9, 1992, page 14: George Ralph Frederick, 79, Stanberry, died Oct. 3, 1992, at Gentry County Memorial hospital in Albany, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Frederick was born near King City, where he grew up and graduated from high school in 1930. A banker for over 50 years, Mr. Frederick owned and operated the Farmers' State Bank in Stanberry, where he had resided since 1946. He was an army veteran of World War II, having served in Europe as a staff sergeant in field artillery. Mr. Frederick belonged to the First Christian Church of Stanberry, where he was a member of the church board and served as an elder. He was also a 32nd degree mason and had been recognized and honored by local organizations for many years of service as a community leader. In 1938, he married the former Mildred Blessing. She survives at the home. Mr. Frederick was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Frederick, in 1949; and a sister Ruth Rainey, in 1989. Additional survivors include a son, Karl Frederick of King City; a daughter, Marcia Hagee of Lawton, Okla.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Oct. 5 at the First Christian Church in Stanberry conducted by Rev. Russell Evans. Burial was in the King City Cemetery.
